Five Things To Remember On Jan. 23


1. Pope Francis issued his Message for World Communications Day, saying, "The internet, in particular, offers immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity. This is something truly good, a gift from God." Read more of the message.

2. Debt from college loans makes some men and women postpone joining a religious community, according to a survey of men and women professing final vows in a religious order.

3. Young people traveled the country to take part in the March for Life Wednesday in Washington. The freezing temperatures didn't dampen spirits.



4. During Poverty Awareness Month, U.S. Bishops, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and the Catholic Community of the United States are taking up Pope Francis' challenge to live in solidarity with the poor.
