1. Pope Francis condemned the attacks on Pakistan's Christians which took place during the weekend. The USCCB's administrative committee last week called for prayer amidst recent religious persecution and violence.

Indiana bishops wrote a pastoral letter on poverty for their state because, "We want to call attention to the poverty that exists right here within the state that calls itself the 'Crossroads of America.' We hope to help all of us better understand the many challenges facing our brothers and sisters here in Indiana and consider with you how our Church should respond."
