Five Things To Remember On Jan. 8
1. Ever wondered what it's like to hitch a ride on the Popemobile? One priest shared a story of his journey on the back of it today.
2. Curiosity about the meaning of baptism is common. Catholic News Service reports: "Baptism isn't just some formal ritual, it profoundly changes people, giving them unwavering hope and the strength to forgive and love others, Pope Francis said."
3. Make sure you're following the daily calendar for Poverty Awareness Month, which aims to spotlight daily activities in social justice.
4. The annual national Collection for the Church in Latin America (CLA) will be the weekend of January 25-26. The 2014 campaign highlights the faith of Latin America and the many opportunities Catholics have to share faith with them. The USCCB also recognizes the tremendous benefit of having them in the Church and the revitalization their fervor brings to the faith. In addition to offering our help and support to the Catholics of Latin America, we have much to learn from them.
5. God loves you.
