Five Things To Remember On April 1

1. Although Lent is over, the Easter season has begun and will last 50 days until Pentecost. Learn more about the season by heading on over to our Easter page.

2. Thousands of people entered the Catholic Church this weekend and many converts shared what attracted them to the faith on our Facebook. The responses are inspiring and candid.

3. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Catholic Church. Many of the 195 diocese and eparchies participate in Child Abuse Month. They use this month as an opportunity to highlight the many activities they are doing to prevent child sexual abuse.

4. Pope Francis embraced a young man with cerebral palsy after Easter Sunday Mass and that moment is written about by Paul Gondreau, a professor of theology at Providence College.  Gondreau blogs that Pope Francis' gesture "stands out as a compelling witness to the kind of 'poverty,' that he urges us to adopt..."

5. God loves you.
