Five Things To Remember On April 2

1. The USCCB's Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development is asking people to contact their Senator to push for legislation that would reduce gun violence.

2. Sister Mary Ann Walsh's blog about Cardinal  Timoth Dolan's recent comments about the need to welcome the homosexual community in the Catholic Church has been one of our most read and shared posts recently.

3. It is the eight anniversary of the death of Blessed John Paul II. Many USCCB Facebook followers have shared their favorite memories of his papacy.

4. The Catholic Missions Home Appeal will occur later in April to assist U.S. dioceses in need. "Many Catholics in the United States don't realize how many dioceses are struggling, often right next door," said Bishop Peter F. Christensen of Superior, Wisconsin, chairman of the Subcommittee on Catholic Home Missions.

5. God loves you.
