Five Things To Remember On Jan. 16


1. Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco and Chairman of the USCCB Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage, writes a blog critical of a decision by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder on the definition of marriage.

2. Bishops from Europe, South Africa and North America, gathered in the Holy Land for an annual meeting, said that hope is needed to bring lasting peace to the Holy Land, January 15. Eleven countries made up the 2014 Co-Ordination of Bishops’ Conference in support of the Church in the Holy Land, which issues an annual statement following their meeting.

3. Boston is home to a boy's Roman Catholic choir school, the last in the U.S. Take a peak behind the lives of the people and students at the school.


4. Pope Francis tweeted again today, this time with a message of peace. "Let us pray for peace, and let us bring it about, starting in our own homes!"
