Five Things To Remember On Jan. 6



1. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, president of the USCCB, spoke about the challenges to the HHS mandate Monday on FOX News. You can watch the interview in its entirety.

2. The annual Collection for the Church in Latin America (CLA) is scheduled for the weekend of January 25-26 in parishes across the country. The collection supports pastoral projects in Latin America and the Caribbean that help Catholics to share their faith.

3. The Catholic Church in the U.S. is recognizing Migration Awareness Week this week and spotlighting the most vulnerable people involved in the issue: children, the undocumented, refugees and victims of human trafficking.

4. January also will bring attention to the protection of lives, including Nine Days of Prayer, Penance and Pilgrimage. Learn more about the novena, which starts Jan. 18.
