Five Things To Remember On Jan. 7

1. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz has been busy of late. He visited the USCCB yesterday and also spoke with staff members here working for Migration and Refugee Services. He appeared on CNN's Situation Room talking about Pope Francis and the recent developments in the HHS mandates. He also wrote an op-ed for Religion News Service to talk about why the U.S. Bishops are continuing the push against the mandate.

2. In this Catholic News Service video, he speaks about why it's important to talk to government leaders, including the Obama administration.

3. This Catholic News Service photo from Pope Francis' visit to a live nativity scene is drawing lots of talk on social media.

4. The USCCB is seeking to bring awareness to the plight of migrants this week. For a variety of resources, see our page.

5. God loves you.
